Coffee table – Words and Photo challenge
Do you love browsing through those glossy coffee table style books with beautiful photographs?
I am intending to produce one for Poetry Space, with your help.
Each Saturday I shall be posting a photograph and inviting you to write a poem of up to 40 lines in response. You will have a week to respond to each photograph. (Week one deadline Friday 18th October)
A selection of poems submitted will be published alongside the poem the following week, and you’ll be given another photograph to respond to.
Poetry Space supporters – those on our mailing list will be invited to select the poem they think should go in the book alongside the photograph. The photograph and poem will be placed in a shortlist. Poetry Space editors will make the final decisions on which poems and photographs will go into the book once we have sufficient material.
This week’s photo is by Chris Sims. Others to follow will be by photographers who would also like to take part. Send me your links to your photographs and I’ll choose one. Or make a sugggestion. If you are an artist photographs of 3 D artwork and paintings would also be interesting to include. Please submit photographs as high res jpegs please.
